Welcome to the most romantic city in the world and the charming capital of France - Paris! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the arrivals hall of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and takes you to the train station in Paris for your short train ride to Reims (1st class train tickets included). Upon arrival in about 1 hour, you are met by your driver and taken to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent city on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

After breakfast, you meet your guide-driver at the hotel and go on a sightseeing tour of main attractions of the Champagne region that is bubbling over with heritage sites and fine Champagne. During the tour, you get to visit two famous Champagne houses as well as one smaller local producer to have an excellent overview of the process of making world-class Champagne, its history and have a Champagne tasting. Then continue to Reims to see its main sight from inside and outside, the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims. This Gothic cathedral was the site of 25 coronations of the kings of France, from Louis VIII in 1223 to Charles X in 1825. After the tour, you are taken back to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

In the morning after breakfast, you check out from the hotel. You are transferred to the petite charming town Dole located in eastern France, where you embark the luxurious Hirondelle ship. Today you get to meet the ship crew and your fellow travelLers during a welcome champagne reception as your cruise of France starts. In the evening you are invited to have a gourmet dinner with fine wine.

Following breakfast, your barge reaches a special place in the Burgundy wine region, the medieval chateau called Clos de Vougeot.
Today you get to visit the Clos de Vougeot, surrounded by a wall. The vineyard has existed since the 12th century and the land still defines this prestigious appellation today. The building is also home to the exclusive Chevaliers du Tastevin wine society. As a tour highlight, you are treated to a tasting of outstanding reputed local wine. After the tour, you are taken back to the ship and have the remaining part of the day free.

Today after breakfast you take a walking tour of the capital city of the historical Burgundy region, the historic town Dijon. During the tour, you visit the local market, the beautiful Ducal Palace and visit the popular mustard shop called Grey Poupon. After the tour, you return to the ship in time for lunch and continue cruising. In the evening you are treated to a delicious dinner at a Michelin-starred restaurant.

In the morning after breakfast continue your exploration of France. In the afternoon enjoy a tour of the wine capital of Burgundy, charming Beaune. During the tour, you get to see the main attractions of the city, including the famous Hotel-Dieu, housed in a prestigious place built in 1443 which is a former hospital. After the tour, you return to the cruise vessel and have the rest of the day free.

Today after lunch have an outstanding time touring the best-preserved residence of the Dukes of Burgundy, the Chateau de Germolles, located near Chagny. Chateau de Germolles was built in the second part of the 14th century. It perfectly displays what the court life in France was like on the eve of the Renaissance. In the evening you are treated to a dinner in a Michelin restaurant in Chagny.

Today your cruise vessel reaches its final destination, Saint Leger. After lunch, you get to tour the family-run Chateau de Chamirey, renown for delicious high-quality wines. As part of the tour, you have a wine tasting. After the tour, you return to the ship and are invited to a farewell gala dinner with cocktails.

Following breakfast, you disembark the ship. You are transferred to Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region, and taken to your centrally located hotel for check-in. Lyon was founded by the Romans in the 1st century B.C. as the capital of the Three Gauls and is often called the culinary capital of France today. You get to see the top attractions of Lyon during a 3-hour guided walking tour (public transport included). Together with your guide, you see the Old Town of Lyon, ride on a funicular to the Fourviere hill. Lyon has been an epicenter of high-quality silk manufacturing in Europe and today you have a chance to visit one of the remaining silk workshops, specialized in hand-made frame printed silk squares. After the tour, you are taken back to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Today after breakfast in the hotel meet your driver-guide for a half-day tour devoted to exploring the southern Beaujolais area, a hilly region dotted with hilltop villages built in golden stone. During the tour, you get to immerse yourself in the beauty of an authentic 12-century village and discover its medieval monuments. Your rural excursion also includes an introduction to local wine and a visit to several winemakers to learn all about the Beaujolais wines. You participate in a degustation experience of different wines with a pastry and traditional snack of local cold meats and cheeses. After the tour, you are taken back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

This is the last day of your tour of France. Your driver meets you at your accommodation and takes you to the airport for your flight back home.
