Bonjour and welcome to the most romantic city in the world and the charming capital of France - Paris! Your private driver meets you at the arrival hall of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and transfers you to the hotel.

After breakfast, your private guide meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you on a 6-hour walking tour of the two famous districts of Paris: Latin Quarter (5th) and Marais (4th). Your tour of the fabulous capital of France begins with the UNESCO Site Heritage - Banks of Seine river. Continue to the Latin quarter and taste a Bohemian charm of the medieval narrow streets and stone-paved alleyways. Reach the Ile de la Cite where you see the world’s most famous gothic cathedral - Notre Dame. Walk through the Ile Saint Louis and get closer to more sights: Hôtel de Ville (city hall), Fountain of the Innocents and Palais Royal. You then proceed with the tour of the Louvre Museum, one of the world’s largest museums, taking advantage of your skip-the-line tickets. You see the crème de la crème collections and the most celebrated works of art, ancient artifacts, Greek sculptures, including the famous Venus di MiloWinged Victory, and masterpieces of Michelangelo, Eugène Delacroix, Paolo Veronese and the world’s most enigmatic Portrait of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Following breakfast, your private guide meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you on a 5-hour walking tour of the Champs-Elysees (8th) and Eiffel Tower (7th) districts. Today you start with outstanding Places Vendome and Concorde and proceed to the Tuileries Gardens - the oldest park in the city. You get to see one of the most recognizable landmarks with its magnificent glass-domed roof - Grand Palais and smaller but similar Petit Palais, built for the Universal Exhibition in 1900. Step on the most ornate and extravagant bridge in the city - Pont Alexandre III and continue to the Place de Trocadero which is the vantage point of the Eiffel Tower*.  After the tour, you may return to the hotel or take an optional boat cruise along the Seine river.
*Note: Tickets to the Eiffel Tower are not included in the city tour due to limited availability. Please, ask your travel specialist about available tickets for your tour date if you would like to include it.

Together with your experienced guide you take a short train ride to taste what it means to be a local, and appear in the heart of Versailles in just 1 hour. You see the Palace of Versailles and admire its grandiose opulence from the inside. You get to walk through its well-known Hall of Mirrors where the Treaty of Versailles was signed and see the actual rooms of the most extravagant king of France, Louis the XIV. You also discover the world famous Le Notre gardens, see the Grand Trianon (exterior) and enjoy an inside visit to Petit Trianon - Marie-Antoinette’s estate. After the tour, you are taken back to your hotel and have the day free.

Spend this morning at leisure or join one of our carefully planned optional tours. In the afternoon* your driver meets you at the hotel lobby to take you to the MS Amadeus Diamond ship for embarkation. Today you enjoy a Welcome cocktail and dinner as you begin your cruise of France.
*Standard check-out time in the hotel is before 12.00. Check-in on the ship starts at 16.00.

Following breakfast, together with your guide, you go on a 4.5-hour group tour to a petite town called Auvers-Sur-Oise. Many famous artists have painted here, among them are Cezanne, Pissarro, Daubigny and, of course, Vincent van Gogh, who painted many masterpieces here. Together with your guide, you visit the House of Van Gogh and Vincent’s bedroom. He stayed here in a very simple and small room only lit by a skylight. He never painted in this room and it was never rented out again. In 1985 this room was classified as a historic monument. After the tour, you return to your ship and continue cruising.

After breakfast you arrive in Rouen, often referred to as "the city of 100 spires". Together with your guide, you have a 2-hour walking tour. During this group tour, you see the soaring Rouen Cathedral which is the tallest cathedral in France and which was painted by Claude Monet in his series in the 1890s. You see the futuristic St. Joan of Arc church, erected in honor of Joan of Arc who was executed in this city at Place du Vieux Marché, that you also visit. Then proceed to the Gros Horloge or ClockTower in the beautifully restored medieval quarter, see the Renaissance Parlement de Normandie and the imposing Gothic Church of Saint-Maclou. In the afternoon you join a 4-hour tour of the "Abbey Trail" as once there were more than 100 abbeys in this area. Together with your guide, you take a bus to see several architectural gems, including the village of St. Wandrille, founded in 649, and the ruins of Jumieges, one of the oldest monasteries in the western world. After the tour, you return to the ship and continue cruising.

Following breakfast, you join a 4-hour group tour to the picturesque Ètretat, located north of Le Harve. With your guide, you have a short bus ride to this scenic natural wonder. As a highlight of the day you walk along one of the most stunning natural sights in Europe, the cliff-top paths of Ètretat, take in the views of steep chalk rocks with impressive needle-like formations, which have inspired many well-known artists like Monet, Maupassant, Victor Hugo. You then continue with a guided walking tour of the town, that has medieval houses and fishing cottages and was a popular seaside resort during the 19th century. Here you have some free time to enjoy the town on your own. Afterward, you go on a 4-hour walking tour of the city of Honfleur, boasting numerous historic sights. You see the old port called Vieux Bassin, the Lieutenancy building, the Old Salt Stores and St Catherine’s Church. After the tour, you are taken back to the ship to continue cruising.

Today your ship arrives in France's Caudebec en Caux. After breakfast prepare for a full day of touring Normandy! The first city you visit is Bayeux, a typical yet special Normandy town. Together with your group guide, you explore this town which boasts its well-preserved 15th-century buildings. You get to visit the Tapestry Museum to see the UNESCO-listed tapestry - an embroidered cloth relating the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and accession of William the Conqueror to the throne of England. After lunch, you continue to Pont l’Evêque, noted for its gastronomy and half-timbered houses. Here you have an authentic Normandy lunch break. As a highlight of the day, you visit a traditional distillery where you learn about Calvados and have a tasting. The last place on your list is the resort town Deauville, often referred to as the "queen of the Norman beaches". You have some free time to take in the beauty of this city. After the tour, you are taken back to the ship to continue your cruise.

Following breakfast, your ship arrives in Les Andelys. Today together with your group guide you set off on a 4-hour exploration of the must-visit sites of the region. Your first stop today is the striking Chateau Gaillard that is famous for once being the home of Richard the Lionheart. Built at the end of the 12th century, it is a gem of France that overlooks the River Seine. Then continue to the charming little village of Giverny, which was the place where Claude Monet lived and worked. Here you enter the house of Monet and see his blue sitting room, living room, dining room and kitchen. After the tour, you return to your ship and in the evening enjoy the Captain’s Gala Dinner.

Prepare for an exciting day of exploring Paris! Your morning is at leisure and in the afternoon your group guide takes you on a 3-hour walking tour of the historic Montmartre district, renown for being the area of painters and artists. Here you see the major sights of the district and rise to the hill to see magnificent panoramic views of Paris. As a grand finale of the day, you have a 3-hour Paris by night cruise along the Seine. Take in the beauty of Paris and its main attractions as they glimmer in evening illumination. After the tour, you are taken back to your vessel.

This is the last day of your tour of France. Your private driver takes you to the airport in Paris for your flight back home.
